Anyone tried the Official KODI on this box

I currently own a Zidoo X1 and I use this as my main media box.
I found that the ZDMC version of Kodi by Zidoo has some customization on it including zdcodec.
ZDMC on my box takes somewhere close to 2.5GB of storage which is high for a 8GB box. I am tempted to uninstall it and try the official one.
Has anyone tried the latest official Kodi successfully on it?

I had 2 X1's and both were dreadful.

The original bundling of ZDMC came with a whole heap of addons and repositories.

You could remove some of the repositories and addons to reduce space usage.

The last time that I did try an official version of Kodi, which was late last year, it did not work so well.

The other option might be to post over at the Zidoo forum for a clean, unfettered copy of ZDMC for the X1.
