I think android devices run into licencing issues similar to Ouya and pivos xios, the Pivos had provided HD DTS and TrueHD Passthrough once Linux was installed on it

so our best chance to get DTS HD and TrueHD on our devices is to get linux on them

I have a small linux knowledge but willing to help anyway needed to build this

ADB (Android Debug Bridge)

Enable ADB (Android Debug Bridge):

a. Settings
-> [Others]
-> [More Settings]
-> [SYSTEM / About MediaBox]

b. Click as often as need at [Build Number]

c. Leave [More Settings] and go back to [More Settings]
-> [SYSTEM / Developer options]
-> [DEBUGGING / USB debugging]

d. Plug in OTG (windows recognize a new device -> cancel driver setup)

e. Download and Install MoboRobo http://www.moborobo.com

f. At device at TV you will see a message "Allow USB debugging?"
=> Check "Always allow from this computer" and press [OK]

g. Download and Install 'ADB, Fastboot and Drivers - 15 seconds ADB Installer'

BTW: I unpack the .exe with WinRAR into a directory I like and use it at subdir adb...

h. Test adb with 'adb devices' -> "12345678900 unauthorized"

i. At device at TV you will see a message "Allow USB debugging?"
=> Check "Always allow from this computer" and press [OK]

j. Test adb with 'adb devices' -> "12345678900 device"

k. Because I don't need MoboRobo, I uninstall it (but keep the drivers ) ...

The S89 still freeze after few minutes

Has anyone had problems with the media player as well or is this a isolated incident?

I have the devise more than a week and I didn't see one Movie or TV series.
I faced with 2 cases: 1. com.android.system problem(Solved). 2. Very High problem: The S89 freeze\Stuck after few minutes, Only 10 sec Power reset the devise.

I installed the 104k and 1.6 ROM but I still have the Freeze issue.

Do anyone have any solution?

Could be heat related. Some devices are not assembled so well. Missing thermal pads between cpu & heatsink etc. Try to monitor with cpu temp app to see if this is the case. Your case is isolated feom what I've seen so far

NEW You can follow these instructions to make your Vega IR receiver work for any remote. This is very, very handy as I like to have my air mouse separate from my media center remote.

What are "these" instructions? Are there any guides to get a Harmony working with my S89-H. Will it work with the Harmony emulating a MCE remote for XBMC?

I suspect the XBMC is the problem.

I tries the Antutu-x and got 16230 score- Is it Ok?
Most of the freezing are done when I use the XBMC SW.

In addition I add a Fan under the devise for cooling
I don't want to uninstall it before i get any answer from the team members.

No its about half the speed you should have for a cool system. This indicates that your CPU already whent through a throtteling trip point. This is set at 60degC, 65degC & 70degC which systematically takes down your CPU speed in the efort to cool it down. If you somewhat tecnical you could just open the unit and use some thermal compound between your heatsink and CPU to fix this problem. Search the forum, this has been dicussed lots. There are some modders here that goes to extremes to keep the CPU from throtteling

I only have "android, audiotrack" available at the "Audio output device" option....maybe that´s the problem...

This is the correct setting. 5.1 audio will work through this device but not 7.1. Make sure you have DTS and DD enabled.

Try at first step 'CPU Benchmark' because it's smooth stresses your system at ~40% CPU usage

My first tries with 'CPU Monitor' (and I really like it) at this device looks like that it not work correctly because I get often only 2 cores at curve instead of maybe showing 3 cores using at 'System Tuner Pro'

yes, DTS and DD is enabled and I got these signals on my AVR correct.
However Geekbuying is reporting in their blog that DTS HD is working as well and I don´t have these options and it´s not working for me...my AVR doesn´t get a DTS HD signal....

Dont think any xbmc on android can pass through True-HD and DTS-HD audio signals
