Would love to hear how Netflix works for you. Update us if you are getting HD after you test it.

Guys, AFAIK you can FORCE Netflix to deliver HD to your android device.

1/ Go to Netflix on a desktop web browser
2/ Go to Your Account
3/ Go to Playback Settings (under your name)
4/ Choose HIGH instead of Auto and Save...

Now all devices should play Netflix in HD.

Tronsmart Vega can't wake up.

Hi all- First of all- thank you for this great forum and ROM support :-).
I just got my Tronsmart Vega Elite from Geek, Flashed it with this Finless 1.5 ROM + Wifi & cpu patch 816.
Major bug I have: if I turn it off via the remote- I can't wake it up - led is Blue- but no signal.
I have to long press the power button on the device to power it off and then power it on.
How to fix it?

smaller problem- the original launcher is lagging on the transition effects.

Is it possible to add a back up feature to the recovery? I'd like to tinker but there are times I just want to use this thing and need a solid backup.

this is working so good on my elite. ill test it on the otter one later. but why do we have to use the cpu_fix. ? it runs fine. so is there a need to use it. ? will it change something. ?
I just use the box for xbmc

You don't have to use the cpu fix if you don't want to. If your doing fine then don't use it.

finless 1.5 working great on my unmodded vega s89 std w/ 816 min cpu fix. Eventually I will replace thermal pad with thermal paste, get a copper heatsink, drill some holes and get a fan in there... Its amazing what a few holes will do to release trapped heat. DO NOT drill with case intact. You do not want plastic shavings melting on your mobo and heatsink and definitely don't want to drill into any hw. Since there is no battery the app will show 86F all of the time and it is not measuring anything. I installed CPU Temperature from google play and it gives me real time CPU temperature readings.

I installed the CPU temp app an im getting 140 F idle. Something doesnt sound right...

140F is 60C which is acceptable. What's your normal opperation temp and temp during stress test? If I remember correctly 110C is the burnout temp so as long as your in the 90s during stress test that should be fine. But once again a few vent holes goes a long way or spending 20 dolars for thermal paste, better heatsink, and fan will substancially help

Correction* 80C is when the factory kernal was set to start throttling. 110 is supposed to be shutoff before it bakes your box. So I'd say as long as your box doesn't get in the 90s often your should be fine. Definitely run a normal usage test before doing a stress test and while stress testing monitor CPU temp to make sure you aren't cooking chinese

Only certain devices can stream hd on netflix. netflix now offers "ultra hd" (4k streaming) on certain devices now. Your netflix bandwidth settings must be set correctly to allow any hd streaming and must be able to maintain 6-8 mbps for Super HD (1080) and 25 mbps (4k).

I notice there is a lag of the mouse when I start moving it around for about 500ms. I guess it's because the kernel throttles from 1.3Ghz to 1.99Ghz...But that shouldn't be the case as in other android tablets/boxes this does not happen.

that is not due to this rom that is due to your interference between you and your receiver. There are many ways to fix this. Google it

Nope. It's the ROM. Tried with wired mouse too. The same thing happens. Mouse scroll lags for about 500ms (I've just noticed it's the transitions too) and then becomes smooth as long as I don't rest it for more than 2-3 secs. It is the throttling I beleive.
