Hi DKett,
recent versions of the Watchever app don't permit video output via hdmi.
The last version that works with hdmi output is 1.4.2

I only find the 1.4.2 at aptoide...
Do you have a download link?

If you google for "watchever 1.4.2" you will find a download link someone posted on amazon.de in a review for the orbsmart s82 device.

What CAM do you use? C170 reported works.
I have a C270 and it have the same problem with skype (tested in 101k4). Have not tested it with more recent ROMs though. If you unplug the CAM and connect the CAM again while operational skype works but audio only - no video.

Im running the wasser rom on my beelink m8 & the C270 works great on there

You can try skype app from xda dev.....it is much better than standard one. I use this, but i have an c170.

But you can give it a shot...search on google skype xda...and you will find it.

English UK not working

Hi,
I've just flashed this ROM. I've set the language to English UK and set the date\time location to UK. But no matter what keyboard\layout I use it seems to revert back to the US layout.

This means for example that " and @ are swapped and also Shift-F3 enters a # instead of £

Its not a major problem, just an annoyance but I was wondering if there is anything I can do about this.

SOLVED!!!

With a little googling I have solved it. Seems you need to temporarily activate Hardware keyboard in Language & Input > Keyboard & Input Methods > Default. This activates the Physical Keyboard Section then you can set the layouts for aml_keypad, anymote (& hardware if you are using) to English UK. You can then turn off hardware keyboard and everything seems ok.

I just want to say that I'm very pleased with this ROM. I knew I was taking a gamble when I purchased the S89 but the Revue was dead and I needed something that was faster and more up to date. Earlier versions of the ROM made me question whether I should keep it or just throw it out window. I'm glad I stuck with it because I'm really enjoying streaming music to my moto stream, movies on Netflix and youtube. Web browsing in chrome is stellar as well. I really couldn't be any happier with this product and I just want to thank all the developers responsible for getting it to where it is now.

It is a fantastic Rom and im sure it will get even better with new Firmware releases. Even now we have new players on the forum doing their own Firmware builds also. its very good future for s89

HDMI State

Hi all,
i tried to change /sys/devices/virtual/switch/state from "1" to "0" to hide my HDMI output for german maxdome streaming app.

i take root explorer and give su rights to the program. But after changing the file it turns always back to "1"

Anyone with a good advice for me?

projector dvi to hdmi adapter not working

just got my s89 and it works fine with the tv in my bed room through the hdmi port but when i try to use a dvi to hdmi adapter with my projector i get no picture. is thier a way to fix this
