    Help, can't revive my device

Sorry if there is an answer that I just haven't found: my Arnova's screen suddenly turned black and the device doesn't work anymore. There was Finless' 2.1 firmware installed. I can't install any of non-official firmwares(1.4, 1.5c, 2.1 - I know how to do it with the RKAndroidTool) and I can't restore the official firmware with the Rockchip Batch Tool. Are there any other things I could try?

Of course I tried everything what I could do with the reset button. How could I have tried to reflash the firmware without pressing it?

The same thing happened to my daughters tablet. Tablet was not recognised until I pressed the reset button. Than I had to do a full re flash

Silly question - is it still charging when plugged into the wall? Reason I ask is that I had exactly this with a 10bg3 - suddenly went kaput but charging light would still work. Tried multiple times to re-flash on different computers with different roms, and I know how to flash the tablet, simple thing was it was dead. Lucky for me I was able to take back to the shop & it was in warranty.

If the computer isn't recognising after reset connection it could be unrecoverable, but the rom would not have caused it. Mine was a power surge caused by an in-car charger.

As I said, I pressed the reset many times and tried to reflash at least seven times.

            bay1902,

charging light works, computer recognises the device and starts reflashing, but then the error occurs. I had errors of that kind when the device was definitely not dead.

It seems, I'll have to take it back to the shop. But I hope there's something I still could try myself.

Ok, if device is still coming up there is hope, can I suggest two things.

First try the 1.29 rock chip flash tools, erase idb and then flash the update img only.

If this doesn't work then try the 1.4 batch tools, erase idb and then restore using the image, don't select update.

If you can't get it working on either then it probably is back to the shop.

              Hope this helps

Thanks, it's the only thing that worked. I could only restore the very first firmware - without root and market. Tried many different things(in Russia we call it "plyasat' s bubnom" - "to dance with a tambourine") - but RKAndroid gives the same result every time: "download file failed. Run failed".
