Amazon Prime Instant Video CRASHING on s89 but not other android devices

Hello guys,

I have several android devices, Nexus 5, 10, cs918, Nexus 7, and all work fine with the new Amazon Prime Video streaming... but not the s89 Tronsmart. I am using Finless v1.8 rom.

Any ideas why?
It just crashes, says Amazon not responding or something.

Are you connecting over LAN or WiFi?
Most streaming service applications seem to have been coded to only work correctly over a WiFi connection.

At my side (running stock rom 108.4k) it claims with the new Amazon shopping app, including , that it is not compatible. Maybe I have to use Finless ROM too?
If I install it on my phone it asks for the rights access the device id?
It may also be a problem, that the device is rooted, I suppose.

Hi, I've tried both wifi and ethernet.
Why would drm be an issue on one and not 3 other devices... And I have a legal amazon prime account... So I do have the rights to play that media...

yes, works fine on my nexus 10 tablet

The problems with installing amazon prime video are partly to do with the mess caused by amazon in not having the apps available on play store, but if you download from amazon it should install... tablet version.

Yes, I got it installed via the Amazon app store without problems.But when I try to play it shows a white screen and then goes back to video selection.
All on stock 108k

I tried setting the rights as suggested in this post:

Any further suggestions?

has nothing to do with permissions at the system...
There also exist many problems with NetFlix because of DRM violation:

Oddly, I was watching a movie using Amazon Prime on my CS918 box and the playback stopped every two minutes to re cache... It was irritating, so I switched to xbmc and enjoyed smooth, HD playback of the same movie! So I'm not sure Amazon prime is of much practical use... Just that I pay Amazon for it, and it's legal!!

Yes again it seems the consumer is forced from legal sources to illegal sources, as the legal ones do not work as expected...
It looks like, that the movie industry did not learn from the music industry, where today nearly all legal sources are DRM free. Lets see, how long this leanig period for the movie industry takes.

But nevertheless: I there no one who can find a reason, why it does not work on this box. My rooted wiko mobile phone with Android 4.2.2 is running Amazon instant prime without problems. Most other devices are also working well. I am preferring consuming content, that I paid for, as I believe its fair to pay for good content.
