Crashes when movie should start to play!

It opens fine and let's you select movies but when you press play the screen goes black and .. *bang*

Same here!

Amazon Instant Video is not usable on my box. Screen goes black and box has to be rebooted to work again...

EDIT: I am using a T-R42 with wasser firmware...

I solved the problem!!!
Use hdmi virtual switch.

Its not as smooth and with low bandwidth by far not as good as the netflix app but it works for my tr42 4.4.2 tv box =D

Could you please elaborate on this? What is "hdmi virtual switch"? I can't find it in my box settings.

Edit: Found it .. it's an app .. for anyone stunned .. search in Freaktab.

Regardless of that it doesn't work here. When after I virtually pull hdmi Instant Video still FCs on my tronsmart :-(

Make sure your device is rooted.
You have to install the hdmi virtual switch first

Open the app and deactivate hdmi. Movies should work now.

Ok, i think you have a different problem.my app never crashed or closed. The screen went black but i still got the sound of the movie.

FYI
rk3188 KitKat isn't a real KK (it's a mod running on the same kernel like JB) so 'hdmi virtual switch' works at rk3188 KK but not at the newer kernel of the KK at amlogic and so on...

Yes, I got it installed via the Amazon app store without problems.But when I try to play it shows a white screen and then goes back to video selection.
All on stock 108k

I get the same thing after installing hdmi virtual switch. Before it said "unfortunately amazon has stopped".
Anyone found a fix yet?
