version 1.4 magic

Just got my new M8 yesterday, installed 1.3 it ran super, playing full bluray the best i ever seen, outside real bluRay players. ..

Installed 1.4 today and after changing keyboard back to normal google keyboard (to work with droidmote) everything runs like a dream..

Did a speedtest :
so if there was ever any doubt about speed, they can be laid to rest now...

I'm getting a strange error with V1.4 :

Unknown error with google play services.
Requested by google play music

this is showing us in the notifications , and Google Play Music shuts down when opened.


Tried the usual remedies:

1) Cleared cache and data for Google Play Services.
2) Cleared cache and data for Google Play Music.
3) Uninstalled / reinstalled Google Play Music
4) Factory reset and reinstalled Google Play Music.

Nothing worked yet. Wonder if this is caused by the ROM spoofing an XOOM ?

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Aside from that - a better version - I like the ability to use the Suspend from the task bar and it seem to be a bit easier to wake-up (also no blue light when asleep). !

Same for me, solved by installing older version of google play music.
Google drive is ok.
Gmail not ok.

Let aptiode do update last week or so their were pretty much 3 releases of some google stuff and other aps got sick of updating

On new Rom light switches off when on standby...As it should.

I currently have finless 1.8 on my M8N, but I get interlacing problems in xbmc. Does this rom have the same problem and is it a straight forward flash over the top?

As for the ROM just to say something useful

1.4 Everything works great but Wakemescottie is not working properly for me. I experienced the same on 1.3, the only difference here that it starts automatically.

Description:

When i turn off the device its ok, but when I try to turn back on I need to push the red button twice or thrice to keep it alive.

Finally the speed: i only tested via cable. It was 90mbit down and 45mbit up.
