I would like to download OpenElec with Kodi 14 for M8 2GB/8GB (Black Square Box).
I am looking for this in OpenElec web site but I cannot find it and I don't want to download some other versions of OpenElec and try with my M8. If someone already using it for the M8 and tried out with 100% test and success please post the link or send me the right file for M8.

if its the same mxiii 2g/8g use the openelec s82 5.0 version u will save yourself a lot of time it works great. ive tried everything else thats the best one you may have to download the remote conf and put it in the rite folder though to get remote working

Would it take long to update the m8 version to kodi 14.1? this fixed important issues such as the incorrect screen size bug in amlogic devices, streaminfo skipping..etc.

Not sure but codesnake works pretty hard on his stuff so when he gets around to it it'll be worth it. From what I understand it can be a process so he'll let us know if/when he gets it for 14.1

Has anyone tried to compile the 5.0.1 Source for the MX2?

I got a Error when it was trying to patch the Kernel from
OpenELEC.tv-5.0.1/projects/Amlogic/devices/MX2/patch/linux/add_bootargs_to_device_tree.patch
And just Stops, After looking at it it seems that the meson6_g18.dtd file format may have changed in the Latest Kernel

You can try to compile for MX2 from my repo (forked from codesnake's): https://github.com/kszaq/OpenELEC.tv
I don't have a MX2 to test but it builds and should work.

Hi all, after reading this and many other threads i'm still unsure of what I can install. I have the M8N android box, what is the latest I can install as it seems different to the M8. I only ever use kodi on my box so not much need for the rest of the android stuff.
