Root issues

I was able to successfully root the device. However, the home button (soft navigation key) doesn't work any more.
I have tried several different launchers, home button fixes and editing the key file without any luck.
I am also looking for perhaps a custom ROM for this device and or a recovery img i can flash as well.
Any help would be appreciated.
