I have the system wide lag with both a wired and a wireless mouse on the r28.
tried finless leolas and mo's roms and they all lag.
could it be a faulty unit?

Edit: it lags pretty badly sometimes, like older android phones

Post your androbench benchmark scores to see if you have slow ram/emmc.

Maybe you should also try to fix it this way using it at least at one receiver-dongle because of interference-problems between the receiver-dongle (both are at 2.4GHz):

Seems to be resolved by itself.
It was the worst when I flash finless rom with leolas boot kernel and resource for ntfs support.
            Guess you cant mix stuff

            Edit:

Flashed lelas kernel again for ntfs support just to try it again, installed seeder and it works well now.
tested 4k from external HDD and it was flawless.
Only issue is with netflix now, it doesnt look smooth for some reason.

              fix fast forward and rewind

i've foudn that disabling the mediacodec in xbmc hardware acceleration will get rid of the fast forward crash. libstagefright will still work fine though

Why don't you use SPMC v1.3.3.4 beta 1?
No seeking crashes and perfect video playback with rkstagefright.

I'm assuming 2GB partition is the standard one that came with my box? How can i change it to 8GB partition? I would like to try to see if that would help

EDIT: Nevermind, found a link to your document on how to do it after searching the forum for few minutes.
I have the same stuttering issue you mentioned. Did changing the partition or anything else you tried fix the issue?

                      111k4 Release

I'm hoping there will be a significant improvement with the 111k4 release regarding this issue. Come on 111k4

Nothing like that fixed in the Firefly RK3288 sources up to today, so don't count on it.
Unless the error is fully documented and catlog/dmesg is send with the problem to Beelink and/or Rockchip, it won't get fixed.

I have the same problem so i switched back my r28 for my t428 and on the t428 with the same keyboard and mouse the videos are playing smooth but with the r28 i have micro stutters.

I tried shadowgun with my ps3 controller and the game was running smooth but the videos stutters with spmc, mxplayer, dolphin html5 player or flash, netflix
