Ok as most of you know when you update your firmware to V3 from southerntelecom you lose root and google play stops functioning so, after a few hours of working on this tablet I now have full root and a fully updated google play.
::::Warning this has only been tested on the PTAB7XC::::
Step1: Download the rooter and current Google Play:
Step2: Install Unlock root.
Instructions after Install: UnlockRoot is an easy one click Root/Unroot for most android devices starting from Android 2.1 till 4.0
This tool only grants root accsess.
Supported OS: WinXP/Vista/WIN7
How to Root Your Phone/Tablet :
Your device must be in USB Debugging mode. To turn it on, go to Settings > Applications > Development and check the box.
Connect your device to your PC, Run UnlockRoot.exe，
Click “Unlock Root”.
::::Ok after your restart your tablet you now have full root::::
Step3: Download and install root explorer or whatever you prefer dont use the explorer on the system already.
Step4: Copy "com.android.vending_3.9.16.apk" from the zip file in Step 1 to your tablets downlod folder and install it
then copy that same file to your system/app folder once its in there rename the file to vending.apk
after that right click it and change the permissions on the file so owner has Read+Write and all others have Read only. Ok once you've done that reboot the tablet and you should be set.
