    OTA or not

    Shouldn't it be OTA on the Orion?

    When moving from 109k to 110k, OTA was not possible because of a change of bootloader, so had to be flashed.

    They promised no more changes that will prevent OTA from working in the future but I would not hold your breath.

    Having each of the ROM's available for full flashing is also good for disaster recovery and for those that like to tinker with their ROM's before flashing.

      That's the reason I bought this. Doh! Minor bugs as it beehaves now.
      I have a Mac is there a batch tool for Mac?

        I'm not aware of a specific version of the tool for OS X

                  It's already been answered.

                  Read the official Tronsmart Forum kink where it said 'Please Note, Because rock chip change the boot loader a lot this time, you have to flash the firmware by yourself use rkbatch tools, the OTA will NOT work from 109K4 to 110k4. but After you flash the 110k4 , in future the OTA will work normal.'

                        It s really strange that Oman doesn't release a 111k related to new RK SDK. He shares sdk with wasser, and others skilled devs... so i'm personnaly 100% happy!.... but many people are waiting for official firmware by OTA because there are not geek, or haven't time to learn and it was a marketing stuff.

                        All my friends want tv box with tuned XBMC + NAS ... Ok, i do that for us, but no OTA means no easy upgrade for us (no android skills).
                        Too bad, tv box market could be so more bigger!!!!

                          I agree it was a marketing thing. And I've made flashing on my Tronsmart Vega with Bob's Rom and that was easy, you didn't need a PC(I only have Mac).
                          And now I just want an functioning device with Kodi, I don't have the time to flash each and every week.

                            I am afraid the next fw will also not be an OTA, because at 110k4 by oman (beelink) it use a bootloader V2.15.02 and wasser 2.0.3 use a V2.17.02 ...

                              As i said... marketing words. Next bootloader, it will be v2.19.01
                              I never use OTA functions with Minix x7, Tronsmart r28 or S89... TV box is defintively a geek market.
