    Bob/Forum,

Before I install this ROM, is there a way to save the current system to USB or my PC. This way I have a backup for a "factory restore" - in the event of any errors?

    Thx.

im pretty tech savy but new around these kind of devices, i hav a brand new ss808 and was going to try to re-flash using all the info here, but all my computers run LINUX.

          screen edge scroll

hi too & thanks so much
i wanted to ask u, if it's possible to build in a function, that scrolls pages or screen if u hit the screen-edges with the mouse in same direction?
and some other resolutions for unused old monitors might be nice ofc for HDMI-to-DVI Adapter.
          all the best,
          alex

              Allright then! But...

I tried this one too. Don't see any real difference in displaying the graphics. Still a bit slow. I can't set my cpu to 1608 anymore. It's stuck @ 1500something. XBMC still runs fine. I'm keeping this kernel until new development has been made.
              I will continue my testing.

voice search does not work well

                A voice search is started
                talks
                A recognition candidate is displayed
A voice search forces to terminate

It is regrettable because others are wonderful

Does it have the option to hide the status bar?
(If not, can that be implemented in a later version?)

auto hide is enabled, but not working in all apps... for yt and viedeo players it works.

You can use something like "Status Bar Toggle" or "Hide Bar" from the market.

                            Auto hide status bar!

Folks AUto hiding the status bar is nothing I can control. Since Gingerbread the status bar has gone through many changes in Android. But the way it has worked since Gingerbread and on, is that an APP must send a command to Android to hide the status bar! There is no way in Android to make it hide automatically unless the APP asks for it to be hidden.

This is why some APPs will hide the status bar and other will not. The APPs that do are requesting Android to do so.

So for APPs that do not, this is why you have a hide status bar down arrow on the status bar itself. Courtesy of me adding that

However a custom rom such as paranoid android sports and expanded desktop mode accessible via the power button. On tablets that hides the navigation bar on command irrespective of the app. Is a feature like this not implementable on the mk808.

That having been said, I don't own a mk808 but having been reading these forums in anticipation of buying one. Also, thank you for all your hard work.

                                update.img

hi, I tried to flash the update.img from deadph1 with the finless tool and selected it in the backup item.

I already flashed finless 1.5a and the wanted to flash the deadph1. But after the flash it gave an error.
I only selected the backup. What am i doing wrong??
