Teclast T98 4G RileyROM 1.0

Hello guys!

Randy i have this greathfull tablet but (c6R3), i scattered with 4G user space , rooted , working TWRP and Randy's 1.1 rom, i have only 1 problem, init.d support cannot get working? There is some scripts but no one is running at boot. Has somone this issue or this is unique for me?

Tablets are different than phones, because you can't remove the battery. A bit of trial and error is in order to find the best way to flash your tablet.

The best way I have experienced is to turn the tablet off and unplug it from USB. After you press the download button on SP Flash Tool, connect the USB. Usually the flash will begin.

Otherwise, if you have the USB plugged in with the tablet off, it will go into the charging mode and display the animation for charging the battery. The flash won't go through in that mode.

in device manager of windows do you see "MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port (COMn) "?
i tell you about power off because some time ago i thinked to had power off my tablet dark screen no connection but really it was not poweroff
try to poweron and after press looong loong power button until vibration
then try to connect to PC and look in device manager

Which version of sp flash tool? Are you sure your tablet is power down?
If it's recognized as something also for few second from your pc windows version you can try format+download mode in sp flash tool but you loose surely imei of your tablet if you haven't made a full backup with twrp

The version is 5.1436. Yes, the tablet switched off and there is no way to turn it on. Everytime i try to flash it i get the same error

Hello guys.
I tried to update a firmware on teclast t98 but accidently i flashed it with the firnware version for C6R2 though my tablet is C6R3. the saddest thing is that i can not turn on my tablest now. I tried to flash it with the right firmware but got the error (see the attachment). I would greatly appriciate if you could help me to make the tablet work again, cause now it looks more like a brick.

and probably original boot.img from teclast 1.0.1 for c6r3 (and so your tablet is not ROOT)

REMEMBER T98 16GB C6R2 and T98 32GB C6R3 have different firmware... at the moment I don't know why

I'm going to receive a T98 32GB in a few minutes...

Does the ROM from this thread also work for the 32GB version "C6R3"? If not, is there a RileyROM available for this version and where could we get it from?

It would be more simple, if I actually had the tablet to test any modifications.

As I stated in post #1, there weren't any EBR1 or EBR2 files in the stock firmware, so I was unable to create new ones to increase user app space. It appears that Teclast has limited the app space to 2gb.

If someone can provide me a ROM dump and send the EBR1 and EBR2 files to me, I can increase the user app space. If they are present, they should show up in an MTK Droid Tools backup.

Hello All,
I know my query is out of the context of this discussion, but want some solution ?
I have TECLAST T98. Tab works fine, but i have one query, whenever i install any app from the play store, it gets installed in a Internal Memory which is only of 2GB & not in the Internal Storage of 32GB. I have also inserted a memory card of 16GB & have set my default installation path to SD Card, but still no change.
As a result, now that internal memory of 2GB is getting full & i can not update or install any more apps from the play store. Please help me.
