New release: 6.95.2.1. This one is a bit experimental, no thorough testing done by me except for a few movies watched by my family. I focused on fixing CEC issues - I managed to get around the ones that I had with my boxes+TV.

mwp1 Please take a look if you can get CEC working with this build. If not, you can safely downgrade to earlier 6.95.x releases.

Hello kszaq . I finally could test the release 6.95.2.1.
CEC is now being reconized by my LG TV, but there were some side effects. Sometimes I send a command by TV over CEC, and the command is not recognized, but it seems to remain buffered by OpenELEC. So, in the next command, it executes the previous command, and again buffers the new command. It may explain the erract navigation described by kostaman , because you press left, and it is not executed, then you press right, and the left is executed, next you press down, and right is executed, and so on...
I also tested the test kernel you just posted, but then CEC is not recognized anymore.

I compiled a new kernel for 6.95.2.1 with 2 changes: a different take on CEC driver (this is for kostaman) and deleted 512MB device tree (for @kiwi_man82). Here's how to test it safely - I assume you are using SD card to boot OE:

• rename kernel.img on your SD card to something else, like kernel.img.bak
• download the new kernel: http://s805.eu/test/6.95.2.1-hd18q-cec-take2/kernel.img and put on on SD card
• put SD card back to the box and test!

If it does not work, simply delete the newly downloaded kernel and rename the old one back to kernel.img. I appreciate your feedback!

I am on NAND so is there something different you want me to try or should i just wait for the next build ?
Confirming my settings adjustments to CEC settings has eliminated issues.

I'll get around to testing that in a few days at the latest. I'll try sooner but no promises as I'm working night shifts then sleep during the day for the next few days

Maybe you could point Guest in the right direction too. It would seem they are having problems flashing nand on the same box as mine. Im not help to them 😂

Hello, everyone
Does any one know if there is a way to force all black mxq use 1920x1080 @ 50fps? I have only 60fps available. Have the option "adjust refresh rate" on, however 50fps videos doesn't play as smooth as other devices running openelec. I have the same box as @kiwi_man82. Thanks for the support of this boxes, 6.95.2.1 seems to work.

I will appreciate comments on that. Thanks in advance

Yes just stick the remote.config file onto the configs folder and then reboot the box remote should now work

Just checking though you do have the same remote that i posted a picture of though as that config file is for that one only

yeah you need to connect via samba and stick the file into the configs folder

can i just copy and paste it there? and do i copy everything thats on that file DL and paste it in the config folder? wow just seen log is there where i find log files? I'm getting deep into this and learning a lot thanks to all!

I have the same remote but I use kb and mouse with my box, so I haven't tried my remote yet. At least if it doesn't work I'll be able to try this conf and it should work if it is all ok for you

did you see my post above regarding flashing openelec to the nand?

Have you managed to actually flash openelec to the nand rather than run it from an sd card?

As cant figure out how to do it on my v3_1 board

can't even go into the system update and apply it that way as it has changed and only scans the internet for an update now
