Imito MX1 doesn't work --> Black Screen/No signal

    Imito MX1 doesn't work --> Black Screen/No signal

    I purchased the MX1 on geekbuying.

    I tried with LG Plasma 42inch 720p, a Samsung PLasma 50in 720p and a SAmsung LCD 32in 720p with black screen ("No signal" or "Not compatible resolution")
    Additionally, at work I connected to a LG MOnitor with HDMI input. The same black screen. On a friend's TV 1080p the same stuff.

    I updated the original firmware (I ordered it on 26/Nov) (I think It was 15/Nov) to the following ones:
    Finless 1.5 @720p (as my TVs are 720p) --> NO success
    Last Stock Firmware (26/Nov) --> NO Success

    Geekbuying people suggest me to update it to Finless 1.4 rooted.

    I will try it, but I don't think it will worlk. What have the 1.4Finless that the 1.5 doesnt have?
    Do you have any suggestion regarding what is happening?

    I have tried with another charger than that it comes with the purchase order
    It comes with a 5V 2A charger and I tried with an Ipad 2 one (5V 2.1A) with the same issue
    Which is the power required for this device?

    I tried as well plugging directly the Imito MX1 to the HDMI and with the supplied HDMI extension
    Blue light is lit always is plugged.

    I have just reflashed to Finless 1.4 as suggested by Geekbuying with no good news. Same black screen on LG Flatron 2442 MOnitor with HDMI input

    Imito not working

    I also purchased an Imito from geekbuying and am having the same problem - the unit has power but my TV is getting no signal.

    Has anyone been able to fix this or did we get a couple duds?

        While I was working on reviewing the product it started going off on its own a few times, now it turns off on its own within 20 mins of usage and doesnt turn back on for another 15-20 mins after which it works for another 15 mins.


        I have read a lot of good stuff about your product and I think this is a problem with just the piece that I received, so I thought I will contact you first before I review your product on my site and youtube channel.


        Please let me know if this is a common problem or if its just this one piece that has issues.


        FYI - I have tried the following so far...


        1. Different USB Cables
        2. Different HDMI Cables.
        3. Different Power Adapter
        4. Latest Finless ROM
        5. Tested on my 2 monitors and 2 TVs same results

        I contacted them before I came across this thread, seems like a widespread issue.. I will wait a few days for a reply and see... did any of you try contacting them?
