Hi guys - this is driving me crazy..
I've got the original stock ROM for my 4K OTT Tv Box M8 Player and it works perfect, but its in need of a serious upgrade. The original stock ROM is "k200-ota-20140915".
I've experimented with lots of ROMS since buying this a year ago. In every case, everything works except WiFi. My latest ROM to play with is Mediaman's "M8N_mbox-GEv1", very similar to the Acemax "k200-ota-20150327". Once again, no WiFi, but LAN works perfect.
So - is there a way to port the drivers or settings from my perfect factory ROM to later ROMs? I've experimented writing over the newer WiFi files in later ROMs with the similar files from the good factory ROM, but at best its a guessing game for me and it still hasn't worked.
Going through Android settings -wifi - advanced, the later ROMs are clearly not picking up the MAC address of the WiFi. I'm baffled - any guidance would be appreciated.
