    Swap out the bootvideo, M8(S)?

I have a much preferred bootvideo over that annoying MBOX stock video, and I have a "jailbroken" box, so getting into the root files is easy. The basic steps are:

edit build.prop and change bootvideo from "0"to "1"
copy /system/etc/bootvideo from preferred video to same location on the box.

OK, sounds easy, BUT how exactly do I do that? If I delete the stock video, I'm afraid I won't be able to replace it with the new video, and I'm not sure HOW to get the copy into that file either. Then of course the system asks to change the read/write too, which gets me a little nervous since it's hard to predict what will happen when you mess with root files.

I have Es file explorer, Total Commander too, and do have control of all needed files. However, having bricked my share of boxes by not knowing exactly how to do something; I thought to enhance my knowledge base first.
Might be helpful info for others as well.

    thanks from The Markedman.
