    Deleting apps in Kodi

MXV Amlogic S805 Quad Core Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. In the Kodi app, I want to delete some of the video stream apps. Ive tried rooting the box and uninstall the apps, disabling and uninstalling the apps but nothing has worked. Any ideas?

    Kodi system/Settings/add-on?

That normally works but on this tv box, when I follow those steps, the changes from enable to update available. After a while, the box auto updates and changes back to Enabled

Really strange. Which version are you using?
Try to upgrade from play market or clear apk data or downgrade apk to default(android settings/apps/kodi). If nothing changes uninstall app (if it is a system app, i don't know how it is in your rom, you can use titanium backup or es explorer), restart device and reinstall it.
Last way: addons are in /data/data/org.xbmc.kodi/cache/apk/assets/addons
