You can use tool like RK31xx_firmware and extract from one image firmware file 6 separate MTD partition images, one parameter and one loader.bin file. Then flash those files excluding misc.img with Android Tool. To do so you have to extract files (system.img, resource.img, recovery.img, boot.img, loader, parameter.txt) from ROM one big image file. Then flash everything besides misc.img. For this task I use two applications: 1. Android Tool v2.3 and 2. RK31xx_firmware v5.xxx

In this update image there is only system, boot, recovery and misc, so if I'll flash just boot.img and system.img, it will work?
If it may cause any problems I'll do a backup before update and format it
Thanks.

It should.
I don't use mo123 ROM's right now. Didn't you extract kernel.img also? You should flash kernel.img and resource.img also. Or kernel is build into boot.img if that file is bigger than 6MB then it is almost certainly so.RK3288 2GB/16GB OC 1.9GHz at 1.2V RAM [email protected] Wasser's 3.0.11 firmware

But better to do it from v1.9 ROM as it's from the same SDK.
For ROM's before v1.9, I used Firefly SDK which is different and I'm not sure if the partitions are the same.
Lots of changes I make after building the firmware, so it's not possible to put everything in a ota update as it will take a lot of time and resources.
All the documentation is in Chinese and difficult to understand, but maybe in future ota updates can be a possibility.
Recommended to start clean and flash the new firmware.
You can make a backup of important apps and use a multi app installer to install them automatically if starting fresh.
Google Play Store also allows you to backup all your app data to restore at a later stage.
Kodi also has a Backup addon, to backup all your addons to a zip file or online backup to restore later.

I try to unpack boot.img and edit rk-kernel.dtb so Tronsmart IR remote will work (previous roms has resource.img and that file located there)
but device doesn't boot.
Could you please make the same boot.img but in rk-kernel.dtb file
replace the key_table with tronsmart codes:
under pwm@ff680000
ir_key1 {
rockchip,usercode = <0xff00>;
rockchip,key_table = <0xe7 0x74 0xf9 0x66 0xfb 0x8b 0xbf 0x9e 0xaa 0x161 0xb9 0x67 0xe9 0x6c 0xb8 0x69 0xea 0x6a 0xeb 0x72 0xef 0x73 0xbd 0xa4>;
};
Thanks

For me HDCP doesn't work
When adding HDCP 2.2, firmware can't boot because you also need to write HDCP keys that you bough into the firmware which I don't have.
The cost for HDCP keys are as follows:
HDMI Adopters pay an annual fee of ten thousand dollars (US$10,000).
HDCP Receiver or Transmitter Keys--Qty of 10,000 $1,000.00
HDCP Receiver or Transmitter Keys--Qty of 100,000 $2,500.00
HDCP Receiver or Transmitter Keys--Qty of 1,000,000 $5,000.00
So for a company to enable HDCP they will need to pay a yearly fee of $10,000 + $0.10-0.15 per device sold.
