Before Installation

Make sure USB Power saving mode is disabled for the USB Port you use to flash the device
Use a PC Back USB Port and not ones from the front or a laptop
Pause Antivirus software for 10 minutes to not interfere with the flashing or cause high disk usage. - Make sure device was connected to PC before in flash mode and drivers were installed.
To Install the drivers
1. If flashing for the first time, you need to install the drivers with DriverInstall.exe
2. If you recently upgraded your operating system to Windows 8.1 or higher, it's also a good idea to install the latest drivers.
3. Let your PC recognize the device and automatically install the drivers - Connect the device with an OTG Port and cable to PC - Now connect the power adapter - Before plugging the power adapter into the device, hold a paperclip into the reset hole of the device, keep holding it while connecting the power. You will hear a 'click sound' that Windows has now recognized the USB device. - It will ask to install the drivers or install it automatically.

Flashing the ROM
1. Select 'Upgrade Firmware' in AndroidTool v2.35(Second tab)
2. Click on the 'Firmware' button to load the firmware(update.img) that you extracted from the 7zip compressed file)
3. Click 'EraseFlash' to wipe your device, wait for it to finish.
4. Click 'Upgrade' to flash the new firmware.
5. Wait about 5 minutes after flashing and before unplugging device for firmware to settle.
6. Disconnect from PC and connect to TV. Enjoy

The tool can be found also in the 1st post and here https://drive.google.com/folderview?...&usp=drive_web
Hi @orionas21,
Thank you for your help again... The flashing of the 1.8 version for 720p tv, was a success but I have realised that the image adjustment is not good. I mean that the image is moved towards the left so some parts of the for example web browser are not displayed. Should I install the latest version? Thanks again.
BTW this is my TV Samsung PS43E450 Plasma 43" HD

Thank you so much for your explanation. In this regard, I understand that I should install the latest rom version (1.9). I am using a 720p plasma tv and the same device as yours. I have already downloaded the rom image but I have no idea about how to proceed, I am a newbie. Could you please refer me to some post where the process to flash this rom is explained?

Thank you so much again @orionas21
I hope to be able to give a second life to my android tv

I have Tronsmart R28 Meta with 2G/16G and BT, WiFi is working ok.

If you have a 4K TV then use Lollipop firmware 1.7b, If not a 4K and you want only 1080p then use 1.8a, If you have 720p TV then 1.8.
In 1.7b the HDMI bit-stream works perfect but if you root the device you will have problems with Google apps.
In 1.8a the HDMI bit-stream does not work (you can use SPDIF for 5.1 core) but everything else works perfectly.
The HPH Launcher in this roms is very nice and neat and the network (Lan in my case ) is very fast.
The embedded version of Kodi (NTMC) is very smooth and fluent in any video i tested (even in H265 HEVC with 10bit).

The last release 1.9 is almost perfect just a small issue with screen scale that it is not so obvious (the screen does not reach the 100% of the TV, is approximately 99%).

Note that in the above roms the Tronsmart remote does not work.

You can use Quickreboot after rooting your device under Settings -> accessibility.

i see you added : Quick Reboot (Root) https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...it.quickreboot
but it doesnt work for me, please anybody can confirm that...Thanks
The power off works just fine.
You can use Quickreboot or long press the power button on the IR remote.
It works on HPH NT-V6 and Ugoos UT3 devices.
If you have Tronsmart/Beelink devices then the power off won't work.

It will be version v16.1.3
It has the latest [RKCodec]: Optimize codec and render performance change added.
Hi mo123.

I downloaded the latest NTMC 16.1.4 and i can say that is a bit laggy with sound drops every now and then. I changed the sound to always enable or disable but the problem was still present.
The issue occurred only to the movies streaming from my server (Gigabit lan with Gigabit switch). For movies in a usb HDD the issue was not appeared at all. I added the advancesettings.xml file in order to buffer 40 MB but again the same, even though the buffer was full.

I installed also RKMC and the problem was appearing again but not so often.

Just one thing, my last firmware was rooted ( I bought it like that), so I bought several PS3 controllers to play on Nagrace with sixaxis controller app...
After I installed your ROM, this app told me the box was not rooted..
Is it possible to root it to keep using the controllers I bought?
Thank you again...
You can root it under settings -> accessibility.

Eg. 1TB has actual storage of 931GB because of 1000 vs 1024 bytes used in storage calculations.
32GB has actual storage of about 29-31GB depending on the storage chip used.
The firmware makes no difference in storage/RAM between a 2/16 or 4/32GB device and recognises the full storage and RAM.

Perhaps you tried with internet explorer, I had the same problem... Using Firefox, it worked well.
