Vorke V1, After a few hours of fiddling with the the Vorke V1 it does put up a pretty good show for the Price
Thanks to Geekbuying and DHL delivery

    Coupon Code VORKEV1 = $40 off still

How Audible is the fan, In a dead quiet room you can hear the whir of the fan, and it is at a constant, does not appear to get louder when the CPU is under stress and No Vesa mount

The supplied unit is installed with 4GB Ram and 64GB Msata, and can be upgraded to 8GB ram and with the Msata going to just about any size I believe, also we have room to fit a HDD in the Base as required.
I have a spare SSD kicking some place once found I will install, at the present this will just be the Base unit test.

Typical Windows 10 startup add location name etc a few minutes and into windows no problems found.
Connected to Wifi 5GHZ easy, Bit of a Windows 10 update and away we go.

Basic Information all Ok, fully usable Windows 10 HOME 64bit.

This is the First lot of test done with this Vorke V1.
Looking around the net today this box for the Price with hardware supplied is really a no brainer.

Over at CNXsoft and AndroidPC you can find a similar or slightly better depending on how you look at it,
No Ram, HDD or Windows for near enough the same price for $10~20 Cheaper then you have to source the bits.
That's fine if you have a shed of these bits.
If you looking for a starter that is appears fairly good. Lots of ports and working out of the box you cant really knock it too much for the price
Yes it has a Fan not overly noisy, Plastic case, no big deal, large vents,
Looking at the Build quality not too shabby and you can update Ram Msata and add a HDD so room for improvements if you think you need to.

    More to come

Vorke V1 is a Braswell mini PC pre-loaded with Windows 10, powered by an Intel Celeron J3160 quad core with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and two important features if you want to use it as a desktop PC: support for internal 2.5″ hard drive, and dual display support via HDMI and VGA ports. GeekBuying sent me a sample for review, and I’ll do a two part review, starting with pictures of the device, and its internal, before publishing the second part testing the performance, stability and features of the mini PC.

Not a bad looking machine and the first I have seen with Braswell refresh, so a potential to be leader of the pack.

Lots of sensible vents in the side.

I wonder if the 64Gb storage is onboard, with the option to add an additional 2.5" drive.

Is the Gigabit lan port tied to any other controller?

It would be useful to know that this seemingly unknown company have a face in terms of a Website and direct support.

Supports Windows 8.1 for those that want to resist the upgrade path.

Addition of a card reader is good, although in this day and age, high speed card support should really be the norm across the board for all boxes, so the RTS5159 does seem rather antiquated.

The logical SOC comparison is with the N3150, which has pretty much the same performance except that the J3160 has a higher turbo clock speed of 2.24Ghz.

Really nice mini PC, I see they moved away from Intel Cherry Trail and it’s probably for the best.
Thanks for the coupon. I would probably get it from Geekbuying as suggested.
