got my TX5 Pro last Friday bought on-line and I have the same version on this pic. My problem was when watching movies in Kodi 1080p mkv file, sometimes it hangs
I can hear the audio but the video freezes. Does anyone else knows how to fix this?

does this update can fix my problem? I still have the option to return this TX5 Pro til Dec 9 but I really want to have this one, is my unit defective?

Whats your internet speed? Aside kodi is other apps streaming slow also? Be careful when flashing firmware, there are different types of wifi hardware of tx5pro lately.

20Mbps..is it necessary? I was using the Kodi as for media player only (offline mode), thanks by the way.

I do think it help a bit, after disabling the wifi lag fades, but upon choosing subtitles it reoccurs.

As i said there are several wifi hardware the one i have is wifi chipset QCA9377 update version 1026. I dont know if the update of Nov with the other wifi chipset is better. Can someone confirm?

Hi can someone please help me. Every spmc/kodi incl Jarvis 17 I've tried with amcodec on (need it on to play hevc 10bit) keeps causing crashes all the time. Thanks.

Disable amcodec and reset Kodi/SMPC. I won't crash anymore. I'm using Kodi 17 beta 6 and have no isssues at all. Only seeking is sometimes little slow but it will be fixed in future builds.
SMPC is faster but it gives me stuttering when playing videos. Kodi 17 beta 6 plays everything perfect smooth.

Some movies can give you black screen or freeze using old firmware. Update your box to 20161108 firmware and install latest beta of Kodi (Kodi 17 beta 6).

Those updates are for a reason. 20161108 fixes a lot of things.

Guys, all your problems with this box come down to firmware and settings. I've been using TX5 PRO with my old plasma TV and also with Full HD projector connected via AV receiver with HDMI cable and optical for sound. It works perfect. Sure, you can buy different box with the same chipset but propoably you will encounter same problems. Spend some time and set your box right.

Skin: Confluence

Box is connected to TV only with HDMI cable.
Internet is connected with LAN cable.
Audio offset in my case is 0.175s for all videos.
