I would try flashing the update using TWRP, not the app (which should boot the TWRP by itself).
To boot to TWRP, power off the Box, disconnect power cord, push the reset button with pin, connect power (keep pushing), push for ~5 seconds. It will boot to TWRP. In TWRP You have to use mouse or air mouse as the remote doesn't work and it air mouse capabilities are very limited.

As for SMTC I'm not using it, so I won't be any help in that matter.

I installed the new firmware. But I can not do the update: I formatted the sd I copied the file still zipped. I inserted the sd in the box I turned it on then I go on update from local but I get the warning that there is no card inserted. where am I wrong? Another thing like STMC does not have the Italian language? Thank you

It has all languages Android has. So as long as the one You need is available on official firmware, than it should be available here.

Check what Your settings says about size of RAM or install an app for that.

If it says that Your box have 3 GB of RAM than You may flash green image (coz V2.2 is green?), if there is only 2 GB, than do not flash it (if You don't know how to restore bricked Box).

on the site where I bought it was written 2gb / 16 but most likely they were wrong. I think the label inside is more reliable. so confirm that I can install this firmware? the bugs of the shots and the management of the 10 bits have been solved?

Theoretically this number states that this rom will work, but it's not for variants with 2 GB of RAM, so I'm not sure...

I would say no, as this rom is for 3/X Boxes, not 2/X like Yours.
