Resize internal partition on MXQ-4K R9 after flashing firmware?

Hey everyone, I just joined, I searched all over the web to solve this issue I've been having with an MXQ-4K R9 (rk3229) box I bought off my friend. It came with 8GB Nand Flash and about 1GB internal storage. I decided to upgrade the firmware using the RK BatchTool v1.8. It worked and automatically rooted and everything seemed to work fine. Well I was wrong because I soon found my 8GB Nand Flash had shrunk down to half its size or less (3-4GB). Also, apps will crash, videos will freeze, sound will stop working, etc. I cannot find a way to restore the Nand Flash back to 8GB since I tried everything I could to mount it on Windows (I have a A to A USB, I know how to flash the box, I have the driver installed, those parts work), I even tried to set the box as PTP, MTP, and USB mass storage in the USB options, so I could try to resize the internal partitions using a partition editor. But I guess we're talking advanced programming biz with chips, and I'm not experienced with programming chips, but I am willing to learn to know because It's interesting. I was able to mount something but it said in "properties": hierarchical filesystem, I guess you can't simply just mount it and edit it with gparted on Linux This is probably a long bad question for a newcomer, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
