    cx-919 custom HFW mk908 1.1.2 1080p rom by lewy

In order for it to work on the cx-919 you have to go here: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ybrid+Firmware comment 19 details how to do it, use finless 4.2 rom package in place of t428.I also used the stock 1080p kernel found here: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...-stock-kernels. wifi and Bluetooth work very well.

Thanks for the links bloatman. How is Netflix and XMBC on these?

haven't tried them yet but I assume xbmc is good as lewy has the xbmc installer built into the settings. I'm going to tinker a little more and try a couple of different custom kernels to see how they work. Usually a custom kernel will outperform a plain old stock one. I will post results. So far with stock 1080p kernel I get 14625 antutu.

Does this work with the new HFW 1.2.1 as well?

1.2.1 works except for Bluetooth so I'm going back to 1.1.2. I also tried with 1080p kernel from neotvcrom 1.3 but the wifi range was bad

Neotvcrom seems great except for the weak wifi performance.

We should probably wait a while since Finless is back and Lewy announced to port his firmware to our stick

You guys are next on my list for a 1.5 ROM using the same base that Lewy used for the 908 ROM.

Stay tuned I will have you something soon!

"Прости им, они не ведают, что творят"
"Perdona loro perché non sanno quello che fanno"
"Vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun"
"Vergeef hen want ze weten niet wat ze doen"
"Pardonne-leur car ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils font"
"Perdónalos porque no saben que lo que hacen"
"Oprosti im, jer ne znaju Å¡to čine"
"Forgive them as they know not what they do"

I have too much heat with this rom, especially after installing xbmc

Hey Bob - great, really appreciate your efforts .

My 2cents worth - like many others, my use scenario is mainly for XBMC; I've been holding off for a ROM that gives a reasonable XBMC (~nightly) experience (internal player working, AV sync, no frame dropping) without too many end-user work-arounds (swapping out kernels, tweaking resolution code, etc). Getting these functions working at 720p would be excellent (for me, 1080p would be a 'bonus').

                          Thanks for your heroic endeavours!

My thoughts are along the lines of yours. to date i haven't gotten any version of XBMC to work well except 12.1 XAF, which works pretty well but I'd much rather use the internal player. many have said that 12.2 frodo works but for me, some mkvs work but most have stuttering issues (and i have ruled out wifi performance as the bottleneck). right now i'm using the nexus multi window 1.1 with the kernel in bob's 4.2.2 package.

to sum it up, bob is the man
