Tanix TX9 Pro Custom based on stock
Hi all, recently started working on a ROM project for the Tanix TX9 pro as seen there are not many options out there. The aim of the rom is to provide a smooth user experience, with good working UI, as less as possible hangs and improved stability. At this point before releasing anything i can quote the following achievements:
**** good parts ****
* Based on stock 20171222 (seems to be the most stable)
* NON ATV
* Full debloated
* Alice UI (or any other custom launcher)
* Full Google app support
* TWRP recovery as default
* Rooted with last stable Magisc
* init.d enabled
* modified build.prop and some init.d tweaks
* USB ADB working (can switch it off if not needed, else top usb will only work with adb and nothing else)
**** bad parts ****
* 4K playback is still dodgy (at least in youtube)
* sometimes the clock just vanishes and boot appears in the front display even if the display files have not been altered from other roms or tempered with)
* sometimes the custom launcher fails to load up at boot and have to start it manually with the home key on the remote
* sometimes the box randomly wakes up from sleep
**** stuff will work on ****
* add custom remote support
* maybe a custom kernel and tweaks on the governors (still to be discussed and documented)
* UI tweaks
* 4K playback (this is not really important for me since im alright with 1080p@60Hz, but may be for others)
* Samba / DLNA / NAS support
* Fixing up the Bluetooth peak volume
* Update libs and security patch (still documenting on that)
* Add some cool features from other roms of other deices (to be discussed)
* Other stuff requested by people which i cant think of right now
If any rom devs / cooks or android gurus want to give a hand or at least moral support and guidance, it will be very appreciated. Also if there are people that want to beta-test please give me a shout.
