I've been at this all day and I have nothing but failure to show for my efforts. I have a T95N Mini M8Spro that I'm trying to set up for a friend. It's a 2G/8G S905x configuration (picture attached). The only thing it will be used for is playback of local media and playing retro game console ROMs with a few console emulator apps. To this end, it needs to be able to work with a PS3 controller and/or an XBox 360 controller. This box doesn't have Bluetooth, so they don't even have to work wirelessly.
I've tried the SixAxis Enabler app on the stock rom, as well as the M8S Pro Nexus ROM by Magendanz, the Mini M8S II / MX3 ROM by Superceleron, the universal S905x Android TV ROM by Minixfreak, and Poison Rom by Ricky on XDA. I'd link to them, but links don't seem to work in the normal way on this forum. Anyways, either the ROMs didn't boot, or the controllers didn't work. I don't see any other ROMs that look like they might work, and I'm kinda tired of unbricking this box. It's back on a stock ROM now. I say A stock ROM, because the TWRP backup I made of the original stock ROM doesn't want to restore fully for some reason. So I used something labeled "905x-8189-img" that I found somewhere here on the forum.
I see plenty of ROMS for all kinds of boxes, mostly by superceleron and Guest , which have PS3 and/or Xbox 360 controller compatibility built in with the required drivers. Is there any way to flash that into a stock ROM? Is there a driver pack or something that can be used? Maybe there's another option that I'm missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
