I flashed the file in #2 post but had the same result, cannot install over new version. The file above already existed in the forum.

geotzia you can flash the rom in the #1 post which is the stock android nonATV...from my experiense only these stock roms work i can't find any custom rom that works...

I tried everything, every single rom and as you it stuck at 7% until i brick my device,(i have the same board like yours) totaly black screen,and i unbrick it (thanks God and a friend from this forum) with the firmwere in #3 post. The firmware is for M8S PLUS W and after unbrick with usb burning tool you must to flash via usb flash drive or sd card the M8S_PRO_W-ota-20180312.181951.V0213 to make it M8S_PRO . I tried that but the firmware was ATV and i turn back to M8S PLUS W (S905W)
Please if you find any alternative compatible rom let us know!!!

yes i have the same rev2.2..yes it is android tv...i couldn't install any rom all the roms failed at 7% or 9% in usb burning tool...only this rom with android tv and the stock flashed successfully...i i prefer the stock by the way because you can change launcher...in the android tv i installed another launcher but when you press home button it takes you to the stock launcher...
