I have a tx5 box with Android 7.1 firmware on it. When I set the resolution on 4k (regardless of frame rate) some of my apps will have an obvious lag. I found that only apps which built using Android Leanback library has this lag. (E.g VLC player and ANY other app using leanback) But Other apps like KODI are not so and are working fine...
Anyone has this problem on S905X boxes? Is there a solution? The chip (i.e. S905X) can decode 4k video and my TV has a 4k panel but just because this lag in some apps I forced to set resolution on 1080p
P.S. I am a developer and will appreciate all of your solutions even in firmware layer. (I can access to firmware source to build my image)
