I recently purchased a PMID701i for my brother at my local Big Lots. Installing the market and getting superuser to work was easy as pie. However, we are having issues getting the Amazon Appstore installed. After downloading the APK, clicking it and clicking install will always result in "Application Not Installed". No matter how many times the APK is downloaded, it still gets that. I have also tried renaming the APK file, and moving it to the /system/app before intsalling (had to do that on another unofficial android tablet to get the Amazon Appstore installed). Does anyone know why this would be happening? I removed some bloat, and for a while I thought that that was the reason for the issue. However, it will install other APKs fine. I am wondering if I tried to restore a backup of the Appstore APK from Titanium Backup, if that will help.
