Guess what's coming? Yep. my 1.9 ROM.

Been working on it all weekend!

I got some tricks up my sleeve that I learned from the AML s802!

This might be my last X7 or 3188 ROM (loving the AML s802 and then 3288), but I am gonna tell you... this is going to be FAST AS HELL!

Netflix HD anyone?

Choice of odex'ed ROM or deodex'ed?
I know many may not know what ODEX'ed is but trust me... it makes a difference!
The stock 010 Minix ROM is now odexed. There is a reason Minix did this in 010!
It is FAST.
BUT... you can't use exposed framework etc on a odexed ROM. So I am going to offer both ways!
Personally odexed is FAST.... Deodexed is for those that want to tweak, theme, etc.
So why not offer both ways!

I also have some tweaks that I will keep to myself for now. When you learn a couple of platforms, you learn some Android tricks I never knew before!

How does this look to you all?



Ethernet and wifi will be maxed out peak performance! Well at least it is for me! This is the best I have ever gotten from a RK3188 platform! You NAS folks should love this shit

I made this ROM for me never really planning to release it.... I did not expect too much but after working on it... Ummmm... Well you will decide when I post it

ROM is based off Minix 010.
Kernel is stock kernel but patched by me.
I also offer a 720P kernel for those that must have that when the TV doesn't support 1080!

How about the HDMI black level problem? Stock FW V10 is not solving it (as well as any other ROM). Or side app is the only solution for now?

If you want a tester, I volunteer.

Ik hope I can test if HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) and smoothstreaming finally work (up until now, it doesn't for most Dutch radio/TV broadcasting services).

Or can you test for yourself by looking up the dutch NPO "3fm" app in the Play store, or visit www.3fm.nl in the stock browser.

Then click th e "watch" (camera icon) feature to start visual radio stream. If the app works, the HLS is probably good for most other apps too. If it doesn't and give an error message, then it is like almost every other ROM (including the Hardwareguru ROM).

On the mobile website, you should notice the stream will start with very very bad quality. After around 20-30 seconds, it will decide to switch to a better stream (which will hang forever in the non working situation).

The first ROM for the rk3188-based X7 where HLS for most dutch services works will be the ROM I will stay on for the rest of the X7's life.

Totally agree with you, 100% happy with Finless 1.8 now.

The new stock fw is more stable and better, so bob the finless 1.9 is necessary and the only one with fw 10.
Please if you can give us and oc kernels(in the boot.img).

OC kernels will be provided but they wont be in boot.img. I remove kernel from boot.img so you can flash whatever kernels you want.

As for those streaming and TV apps. I don't know as I don't use them. You will have to see. If someone knows of a fix for them I would be glad to add it.

Hi Bob, Is there any chance you can have a quick check to see if the lock screen can be enabled so I can add multi user for 1.9? I know in previous Minix releases you were kind enough to have a look for me and there was stuff missing making it a lot of work. Thanks.
