    MXQ S905

    First of all, i will say thank´s to http://sztomato.com for Sending me the MXQ Box for a Review.

    Between the extremely cheap TV Boxes with Low Power CPU, the most interesting devices are the ones equipped with Amlogic S905.
    The MXQ from Tomato is Powered by an S905 CPU with 1GB Ram and 8GB NAND.
    Also, the Box runs on Android 5.1 with good Performance.

    Dimensions and Build Quality:

    The MXQ has a Size of 12 to 12 cm and 2 cm in Heigh.
    On the Top there is the MXQ Logo, it glow Blue when you turn On the Box. Cool, i like it.
    There are no gaps or sharp edges on the Housing, overall a good Build Quality.
    With the Remote that comes with the MXQ, you can control it without any Problem.
    The remote has a rounded back and fits very well in the Hand.

    Benchmark and Test:

    All benchmarks have been repeated 3 times and results have been averaged to give a more accurate reading.

    Antutu Benchmark:

    Score: 37102
    3D: 4000
    UX: 14423
    CPU: 13599
    RAM: 5080

    Overall a good performance, faster then other S905 Devices.

    A1 SD Benchmark:


    A1 SD Benchmark tests RAM and flash memory speeds.

    Internal Memory:

    Reading: 44.29MB/s
    Writing: 22.57MB/s


    RAM:

    Ram Copy 2376.85MB/s

    Both are good Values.


    Video Playback testing (Using KODI):

    Firmware Test:

    The Firmware on the Box is good and have so far no Bugs.
    They are using a New Launcher, it looks good.
    You can easy Navigate with the Remote that comes with the Box.

    Conclusions:

    The MXQ is a different kind of kodi machine, both for its unusual shape and its target audience.
    It gives an average performance.

    Would i recommend it?

    Yes, i would solid Device with good Price.
