I am looking for a Rom/instructions for Rooting a Nextbook premium 8se Capacitive touch to get the playstore?! I have searched the internet and found a few but I am scared to use any of those because of issue of loss of camera and touch capabilities. If anyonme has rooted a premium 8se and got the android market please let me know how or point me in the direction. THANKSS!!

If I can get a stock ROM dump or download for the 8SE stock ROM (not a modded one) I would be glad to root it for you.

Never mind.... I found that nextbookusa.com has a 8SE stock ROM download!
I am downloading it now.
Give me some time and I will have a rooted ROM with Gplay soon.

Lost on the ROM/Root of it all
Spiddy beat me to my ROM request and I am thrilled at the quickness of the finless ones response. I have had my nextbook premium 8se for a week. had efun playing with it so far but the google playstore will open up the universe.only problem i have is in following the steps needed to dump n root.could someone point me to a sticky that maybe is less confusing for a nextbook. I saw a sticky and have the necessary hardware prepped but not sure of the software needs for a nextbook with arm cortex8 chip.Comment

I may be making this a little harder than it should be.
A little background..I have a Nextbook premium 8 SE. I want the rooted version of the os that finless has created. I have been researching the dump and root here on freak tab for a couple of weeks and am thouroughly confused by now as to what I need to do. Questions are do I need virtulalbox with ubuntu?Do I need to follow the steps presented here: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...cks-by-Finless ? Or is there a simpler process I should follow? I downloaded the ROM kit and have made 2 copies of the nextbooks directory. I have enabled usb debugging and have turned on usb storage. Question I have now is should I turn off USB storage before I hit reset?Comment
