the firmware... and video quality is work in progress..
and no..its not faster ( its pretty much the same as s90x )

my advice..is still don't buy::
* as the amlogic chip has freaktab support
** it has some bugs..that makes it not newbie friendly or advice able
** allwinner only has vendor support.. its also expensive and DRM doesn't make Netflix run in 1080+

HDR and spoof device.. to get HD
currently testing: v5.1 with HDR from last page

IYBP to enable HDR and vp9 :
Settings (right top) / settings iybd / about / click on about 5 times ( to enable hidden menu )
restart app.. After any change (tested galaxy 8)
proof it works:


HDR enabled watching yt vid = CPU usage really high ( frame skipping )
*sheep HDR 4k webm

I disabled Google play and installed Galaxy from XDA forum ( search : Galaxy open source alternative market )
Then under settings spoof device Api24 Samsung... finally full access to apps and some updates

Great box. Much better picture quality than amlogic boxes. Even better picture quality than my rk3399 box. My IPTV works great to. I'm never going back to amlogic box

Hmm... Depends on your firmware version mostly ( 28 is really bad...and 25 ) (I'm on older fw )
Im currently quite disappointed in the zidoo h6...

In my personal view/testing my aml s805 running libreelec 7 was the best (arm based ) IPTV player
