I like the challenge of setting my alarm clock, so I can get that device at the low, low price. However, after scratching my head for an hour, I can't think of ONE single thing I could use that device for...........

Its can be a portable HDD for a start, plug into your PC and transfer files, like a Hdd Caddy, get them for under $10.00
It can also act as a server with login with supplied server app I am yet to master, or get to work.
Set up as a wifi hotspot so files can be transferred to others, yet to get it to login successful.

It will only take a 7mm Newish HDD no room for any fatty 2.5 inch drives
Android 6 dated but works, no big problems so far. PCB is dated 2018 so it's fairly newish
2/16gb s912 some will have use, Not sure myself at this stage.

More on this, file transfer, hotspot server thing.
It works finally as intended I think, well stuff is happening.

Under settings, more settings and more on the media player ensure that Portable Hotspot is enable,
It's preconfigure with default PW etc.

Install thl home app from the Playstore to your phone.

On your phone under Wifi settings you should see the Box/Hotspot address.
Connect to it with the default password. will connect.
On the phone Run the app to set up the account name and default PW for now
It will advise if successful or not.

Once done login with app to box and browse, transfer files to or from

This would be handy home for work need to transfer things to storage for use, but then we have keydrives and other ways
Handy as a portable HDD caddy, then you can plug it in HDMI etc and browse to show and tell
Portable transfer files Phone to caddy.

Can see some uses that may be handy for some.



You can while the box is connected to Ethernet and doing internet stuff also connect to box via wifi direct/hotspot and do stuff, that may add some further use to some.

SD Card Test, not to bad at all.


Bit of fun really setting it all up to use HDD phone etc.

Just beware must be a skinny HDD 7mm or the draw will not go in, bit hack of plastic maybe required
If you just slip hdd no caddy Beware the top of PCB is exposed so make sure its fully insulated.

A6 2/16 good WiFi/Ethernet Puts along pretty good,

How is the temp?

Surprised I thought that plate would need some packing or thermal pad but seems to be doing ok....
Yet to do anything way over the top, doing some video soon...
CPU_z shows high 50c..

And you just want to practice setting that clock...for early wake up,


Also this box has no rubber feet, its sitting heat side down on the surface direct so lifting a bit will help I feel also

Played for about an hour pretty solid use 70c using the TVCentre / Kodi on the box 17.1 i think a bit dated
so nothing too hot and if it was I am sure we can find a solution to fix
