Thanks for posting this. I?m curious why I was told the GT King doesn?t come with light home launcher? Why doesn?t the launcher they advertise isn?t installed on this box? I like the light home launcher except for the movie reel short cut. Still amazes me that they would sell a box with a broken weather widget.

Depends when you boxed was flashed with the Version it is running::
This fix was only produced a day or so ago and you box was in shipping
This can happens with just about all new Media Players

Yes I totally understand. But the home launcher they were advertising since the very beginning was not the light home launcher. I asked on Beelink Facebook page and was told the GT King does not come with light home launcher. O well

Many user run these pages be it FB there homepage/forum etc, often the communication between them all can be lost.

Yeah happens a lot. I'm going to try the apk now and see if it fixes widget.

I haven?t had any crashing problems with light home. Does this apk actually fix location widget?

My unit when arrived already had New widget working fine here...
So I will say yes, you can lets us know

Beelink responded to me on Facebook gave me same apk you posted and didn?t work for me, unless I?m doing something wrong or there?s a setting I don?t know about. I tried different cities and none work.

Ok I think I see the issue on my end. The widget will only except your location only. If I put a city let?s say further away from me, the location won?t work. Is that correct? I was able to get my city and the once next to me.

Yes only Major Cites location I would guess

Works better if I use area codes instead of typing in the city name. Now I need to get that movie real image changed to kodi shortcut.

Its working fine now that I use area code. Had to turn off SDR to HDR, was very bright.
