I see firmware for it, but updates require usb hub and usb memory stick.

I'm seriously interested in either Win8 or dual boot intel stick. Under $100 USD, do you recommend this? There is also Wintel W5. And I saw a few with a fan. Any limitations or downside with them?

Yes same with my Teclast Tablet, plug in a hub and a usb keyboard and a stick....but it works all ok in that situation.

I cant see why not, lots about to look at, I have yet to ever use a stick type dongle.

Hidden behind the TV may be a problem, but then you can slip it into you shirt pocket and take it any ware.
As seen with most of the box type players with same specs, Heat can be a problem pending on the what your doing with the device.

I wonder if you can restore via usb card reader and use otg for remote. Just format for Android first, then use same card formatted for Windows next.
