    Some Windows 8.1 tips

OK so here are some tips from me.

I will add to this list as I go and remember what I like to do

    1) Hate having to login (enter a password) every boot? You can turn that off and retain your password.
Press the windows key and R key.
    Type:
    control userpasswords2
On this dialog uncheck the box that requires users to login to use this PC.

    2) Hate booting to the Metro Launcher every time? You can boot to the desktop instead.
On the bottom bat right click and select properties.

    3) Hate the gyrations you have to go through to shut down or power off? Well these little gems I made myself. THEY ARE NOT PROGRAMS! You do not install anything. They are simply short cuts that will call the system to shutdown or reboot.
    Download this ZIP
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9B...ew?usp=sharing
Open it and copy these short cut icons to your desktop.
    Use as you please

    More to come,
    Bob
"Pzebacz im, bo nie wiedzą, co czynią"
"Прости им, они не ведают, что творят"
"Perdona loro perché non sanno quello che fanno"
"Vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun"
"Vergeef hen want ze weten niet wat ze doen"
"Pardonne-leur car ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils font"
"Perdónalos porque no saben que lo que hacen"
"Oprosti im, jer ne znaju što čine"
"Forgive them as they know not what they do"

Good idea to post the tips about the stopping to log in passwords on boot up. I soon changed that when I got mine it was so annoying. classic shell is also worth installing it gives you a windows 7 feel http://www.classicshell.net/
