Need help: How to root T-R42

    Hello folks,

I received my new T-R42 TV Box. The stock firmware is not rooted and so I was searching the web for a rooting guide.
    I found a guide for the K-R42:

Make sure USB Debugging is enabled on your K-R42(Settings -> Developer Options) Connect your K-R42 to a Windows PC via the mini USB port. (now only support rooted via Windows PC, no linux or Mac) Your PC should detect a new device, and try to install the driver. You can download the driver http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?yqxz3wnqi2hpmcm After having installed the […]

Unfortunately the ADB-USB-driver for K-R42 does not work for the T-R42. My PC recognizes the device but I have no working driver for it.

Does anyone have a working solution to root the T-R42?

    Thanks

    Steffen

      Hey lewy20041,

      Moborobo is installed and working...
      The T-R42 was found...

But when I try to run the Batch-File for the rooting process I get the following error message:

      error:
adb server is out of date. killing...
      ADB server dindn't ACK
      * failed to start daemon *

      Any idea?

on pc go to system drivers and click actualize drivers.
point to drivers directory (drivers are in my firmware package to).
if that dont help we try something else.

          Hey,

          it was another problem:

Before running the root batch tool, Momorobo has to be closed...

          Now my T-R42 is rooted

          Thanks

                I have the same problem.

Eric from Geekbuying says that we should press the recovery button when we connect to the pc.

I did that and the pc see the drivers and installs them .But when I release the button pc don't see it again.

What should I do? Please help...

                Thanks in advance...
