I have a MXQ pro 4k with rk3229. A friend of mine suggested me to flash an ATV custom rom. Result? My tv box got bricked: red light, no boot (black screen) and RKbatchtool can't detect it. I suppose I need to short the magical pins. Am I right?
Could you please help me understand where are these pins on my board?
Thanks in advance.

Hi ,
the Pins you normal have to short for RK , are on the Nand , most
Pin 7-8 , i believe , what about a Picture of the back ,
looks like the Nand is on back , (the bigger one on the edge) ,
and the pins for short on the front , you can see the solder strips
from the Nand , directly on top of Nand (otherSide) , look for small
triangle on Corner , from there start telling , i think you must use the
inner solder stripes , try them and report ,
good luck / greetings / gefattern
Ok, I was able to unbrick it by bridging pins 8 and 9 on the right side looking the front of the board: https://imgur.com/a/4a648ik
Then I restored it using RKBatchTool and flashing as usual.
Thanks for your help.
Hope it will be useful for someone else with the same PCB.

All i see is a circle by the big black rectangle in the first picture
first your Pictures are not good , but as i can see in Pic. Nr.1 , the Chip below the
Heatsink is the Nand , like above discribed in the Posts ,
first , install RK Drivers , load FW to Flashtool ,
second , connect only USB to PC & PCB ,
third , short Pins , like discribed , plug in Power ,
wait till Sound , or , & Tool shows " MaskRomMode" ,
restore your Box , wait till ready , close Tool , wait a few minutes after flash ,
about 5-7 min , unplug , power off , connect to Tv & enjoy your Box ,
hopefully , for more Info , search on big G for :
reflashing in MASKROM mode for Rockchip devices , use the Ugoos Site or
any other ,
good luck / gefattern
Thank you for your help, I will be trying this when I get home today. Why don't you make youtube videos about these devices? You are very good and even your text descriptions are in detail!

Nevermind, got it all working, just the firmware that I need to find now, turns out the screwdriver that I used didnt do anything with the pins etc. so I used a needle and it worked on pins 1-2 bottom right! ! !
Im getting frustrated now /;
I really don't know how to short ! !
So what I did was, install the drivers, load the firmware, plug the usb in the pc connected to the android box, i then took my tweezer and did the bottom right pins 7-8 and plugged in power... nothing happens.. is there a video I can watch? I'm so bad at this sorry...

use Androidtool 2.35 & above , for flashing , Factorytool 1.5/... 6 , is good for flashing too ,
good luck / gefattern
Hello, I got it working with the pins its just the firmware that I need to get...
I've tried the stock firmware from the http://mxqproject.com/files/Rockchip...ecovery-Tools/ thing... i downloaded both firmwares and non of them worked... I don't know where to get the firmware as I bought it from a store and not online... so there is no way to contact the original seller...
