MX2 clone (g18ref) - Factory Data Reset in android system settings

I have a little trouble with Android Box IPTV18PRO (Mx2 clone g18ref).
Once I did update the system and everything was fine. The first would see a A9 logo and then a robot (android logo) with a progress bar at the bottom.
After the update, the system appeared on-screen information about the completion of the two errors but the execution reboot the system everything worked properly.


After some time and installing many programs the system went a little slower. I decided to restore the factory settings.
I entered the android system settings. Then backup and reset -> Factory data reset.
After this operation, the device sometimes freeze on the string mbox.


I decided to do it again update the system.
The procedure was different than before. Toothpick method worked but the robot (android logo) now displays information such as the "erase", "system update", etc. This happens with every upgrade.
On youtube in which is shown the procedure to upgrade the system does not display subtitles.


Subtitle language depends on the language settings before restoring the factory settings in the settings android.


It seems to me that it may have an impact on the appearance of the image freezes when the device starts.



Is there a procedure to restore the device to its original state to not displayed the subtitles when you update the system?

The g18ref board device that use the "MBOX" firmware work well (for me) with the Matricom v1.1.5 firmware above.

If you want to restore the factory settings you may have to ask your supplier.

mx linux

hi after i inslled matricom 1.1.5 on my g18ref i could not get into recovery by pressing the reset button inside the av hole so i installed mxlinux bu clicking on update and choosing mx linux.zip its 12.4 by the way and the box restarted and installed the mx linux but now again when i want to go into recovery by holding the reset buttun it wont it just keeps booting into mx linux and i akso keep loosing my settings and addon on every boot can some plzz help me thanks

I used BenniBenassi's method, who created the SD Card RAW image from this ROM: Matricom G-Box Midnight MX2 + v1.1.5
After this procedure, my MX2 returned to the factory settings with soft matricom.
Then I did the OTA Update to version 1.1.6.
Now everything works fine.

Then I did the OTA Update to version 1.1.6.
Now everything works fine.

i will will give that a go thanks but i did what you did with the sd card but did not update i just updated to 1.1.6 using the local update method but there was no space to install apps i even managed go back to mbox but again there was no space to install app. how can i reinstall the original rom or a updated mx rom is there a way to change the mtd. is the mtd the boot partition layout or is it uboot i dont know anything and iam going crazy
