    Some issues...

    Hi all!!
    This is muy first post! But i had been read this forum since i found rileirom's (i love you! XD).

    Buut...I have some questions, i have two problems:

    1) when i put the hdmi, i cant use the option " screen timeout" this malfuntion.

    2) i usually play my mkv vídeo (720p and 1080p) with the mxplayer but this player dont use al the power of mali 400... I have lag every seconds!!
    I tryed put the NEON códec of xda developers (oficial developer of mx player) but when i restart the program thia said " códec no compatible"... What can i do? I need see my films with out lags

    First of all...which tablet are you using? Which ROM version are you using?

    Rockchip 3188 processors have a native bug which causes this lag...it's been discussed a whole lot in the TV Stick threads, but not so much in the tablet threads, because the HDMI output isn't a primary concern.

    There is a fix for the bug "vsync" by patching the kernel for the specific device. If you can answer the above two questions, one of our kernel patching guys could try implementing the vsync patch for this kernel for you.

      Hi!

      I have the Pipo m9 max (no 3G)(screen HD 1280x720) whit your"last" ROM 2.4 ( i'm thinking try the KitKat versión...)

      Thanks for the help, if the team can't path the ROM, i will try, but i need some tutorial them xD

        I'm not sure if we can patch "vsync" for the KitKat ROM, yet...but I will see if our kernel guys can do a patch for the 2.4 kernel.

          is there kitkat for max m9? i did search but found nothing. i know there's kitkat for m9pro.

            Sorry, not sure about M9 and this version of ROM but vsync patch is not working for me on M7 kernels since October. Not working means patched kernels are causing soft brick. But kernel frequencies tweaks have improved video a little bit. Though I never had a real issues except some custom video rips and Chinese FHD h.265 demo videos.
            zaisen, have you checked all the settings of MX-player, hardware acceleration etc?

              I think it's not a problem of kernel...
              You can try using Mx-player with HW acceleration enabled.

              About screen timeout for HDMI: this is a known bug. The tablet screen never goes off during palyback when HDMI is connected.

                Yes i tried to play all my mkv ( h264 ) fullhd in softmode,HW, HW+ and ever have the same problem.
                It's true, that in the mode HW have less lag than the other modes... ( why HW goes better than HW+ ? XD strange ).

                Yes this bug ( screen never goes off ).. i hate it! XD you can try with the program (of google play ) " Screen Standby #ROOT" and whit this really function but... the tablet suffers and is necesary the reset.

                I tried this program in 2.4ROM in other version i don't have any idea.

                    I went to the kernel section to ask the guys over there, and I still haven't heard anything.

                    We have Dnkn on our Dev team, now...and he has been doing a bunch of kernel work with the M9 Max.

                      Try this solution. Worked for me and few people.

                      You need to have all PIPO launcher:
                      - Pipo Family Launchner
                      - Pipo Launcher
                      - OOSA Kids Launcher
                      You find them on google or in Riley Rom 2.0 (I used Titanium Backup to moved it to new firmware)

                      Now you need to run OOSA Kids Laucher then close it to background. When the OOSA Kids Laucher is in background all video playback is smooth. I know its's very weird but it works.
                      To run OOSA Kids Launcher:
                      - run Pipo Laucher
                      - tap button in upper-right corner to run OOSA Kids Laucher
                      - tap one more time button in upper-right corner to switch back to Pipo Launcher (OOSA Kids Laucher stay in background)
                      - run/switch to video player and watch movie

                      Tested on many firmwares, MXPlayer, stock Video Player; 720p and 1080p.

                        Humm... i will try ! but.. can you upload this launchers? i downloaded RileyRom 2.0 but i can't install it in my Pipo m9, already i use W8.. :/ ( and i don't have other computer XD )

                            Kids launcher!! magic!!

                            Nice now i can see my films without lags, but we don't have other solution? i have to chose ever even launcher or pipo launcher...

                            I can pick " Launcher, for ever " and swap with "pipo launcher/kid launcher" when i star Mx Player?

                              I'm afraid there is no other solution. You can do anything but kid launcher must be in background. If you choose one launcher as default, you can always change it. Read last question: http://pipo.cn/En/index.php?m=Contac...&id=222&type=3
