MK 802 III brick after trying to change from 1.8 Fineless for UG

Saw similar threads around but didn't find solution... I flashed to my MK 802 III (not S) Finless 1.8 for UG, it works but I saw that RM released new FW for my stick. When I tried to flash new I got error in Batch Tool (similar to the following, this log is last from endless attempts):

Of course, I erased IDB on some attempts... Erasing works in both tools w/o errors. What's strange everything works the same way if I have recovery button pushed on stick connect or didn't push it...

    Pls help me Thanks

Well, I finally managed to fix this and flash new firmwareWith 6/7 flash chip pins shorted. Not sure why I didn't get success with that before, maybe my tool was not perfect

The problem was that with or without recovery button pushed stick always started in "loader" USB mode (green box color in Batch Tool). And I already erased flash (this is why I didn't need button to enter recovery mode: nothing could be loaded anyway) and IDB (not sure what IDB exactly is for and where it is located: in regular flash too or separately addressed). Both ROM Flash and Batch Tool seem to unable to flash in "loader" mode w/o IDB found (but erasing functionality works). But if IDB is OK flashing works fine there (pushing recovery button on start loads to this mode exactly). Finally the only solution is to get to "mask ROM" mode (blue box in Batch Tool) by shorting pins.

Not sure why I get this problem after flashing Finless ROM, remember I pushed "erase" from ROM Flash Tool before flashing Finless, did this kill IDB? And I'm not sure about those "loader" and "mask ROM" USB mode differences... Flashing RK devices is nighmare comparing even with locked loader devices

I'm glad you got it to work! I think I'm having the same problem as you on my MK802III. Can you please tell me how you managed to get it to work again?

      Thanks in advance!

If you flash stock, you should try to follow document about "short circuit" method, look for the doc file in zip

I used the stock 4.2.2 firmware, changed usb port & changed usb cable. I tried once more by shortening the pins. And it worked right away.

Am now using the 4.2.2 stock firmware and so far it works fine
