Mk908II Beelink Version Dualboot to Lubuntu

    Dear all,
i have the MK908II from the manufactor Beelink. It looks verry nice with the delivered android version.

I want to run in dualboot modus a linux distribution like Picuntu, Lubuntu or Xubuntu. I still find no working Kernel for the recovery image !!

I only notice that it gives a Picuntu version for the whole nand flash. The Beelink MK908II devise have no externel accessible reset button to come into the bootloader recovery modus. It is a risk to try the Picuntu version for the whole nand flash (when it not work i can open the chassis and bypass the nand flash for reflashing).

I hope somebody know a working recovery image to load ubuntu over the sd card for the MK908II ?

You can try this linux recovery kernel, it is working for me:

There is hardware reset button on mk908 - pay attention to two pinsize holes where you access it using a paperclip, exactly the same on mk808 - search the forums for more info

the mk908 from tronsmart have that Reset Pin. I know that from my mk808b. The Beelink Version mk908ii Dont have that pin. I also notice that when i want to flash the Nand with the known flashtool the Stick reboots. I press erase and before i can press Flash the stick reboots. I think its a Write Protection. I send this Version back. What is know the best android stick which i can use a Linux for dual boot ? I think the mk802iv should be One of the best.

This reboot problem was reported to be solved by doing the first flash in mask rom mode...

I know that solution, but i only want to flash the recovery image and that is not working. I send that device back to supplier. I will know buy an mk802IV which is more supported.

Thanks all for the reply and hints

All my MK908ii have a reset button on the side. Just open the case if you cant access it via the tiny hole on the side.
