did anyone had success dumping only the BootLoader .img file for the jynxBox M6?? if so please share it with us step by step.

also I am looking for tools that will dump my current Factory JynxBox M6 firmware and keep it on the side. I just ordered the box tonight and I don't have the chance to try anything yet .

Yes I have the original boot loader that came with my M6 dated 08/16.

Also my box came with 08/26 ROM so this one appears to be newer.

You do know that all these ROMs come from Geniatech?

Anyway, I will have a look at this ROM. Thanks......

FYI, dumping /system is a problem. You can dump it using DD but you have no way to flash it.
It is in UBIFS format and this is not how system gets written by recovery.

Recovery formats system as UBIFS then copies all the files in from the zip and sets permissions.

I tried a edify script to "write raw image" to system from my dump which worked but it wont boot. It seems UBIFS cannot be written in that way due to trailing garbage in the partition.

FYI, I am working to see if I can convert to EXT4. It seems the kernel supports it so it should work.
