    4.4.2 kitkat rom for mk908 v3

I've test this rom and it works on mk908 v3. The kernel.img & recovery.img can be used to enable ap6210_kitkat_finless20_beta2.zip for mk908 v3.
There is a weird problem that wifi doesn't work but BT does. I can only access internet via BT sharing. Since ap6210 handle both wifi and BT, maybe this can be fixed by editing some setting files.

Hello, did you tried 1080p videos, is there any micro stutters?

Hi. Is it possible to place the kernel and recovery on this forum? I would like to try this with finless rom but don't know how to extract these 2 files.

      Tx!

I used rkunpack from https://github.com/naobsd/rkutils to unpack these:
        kernel: https://mega.co.nz/#!kcUE0arI!dQcC00...EJKoBAMgqlFtiM
        recovery: https://mega.co.nz/#!RRljDDwJ!HW5k3j...UQk2cZSQilFCSI

I did not try those on my stick yet, but let us know if your plan works!
        cheers,
        Lars

Cool! Tx! So what I did is, I took the 2 files and replaced the 2 filesin the finless rom with them. On the mk908 v3 I was able to boot and screen looks ok now.

To be honest it looks cool. I boughtan C310 Logitech cam today but this does not seem to work. I am not as skilled as all you rom cookers on this forum, but I guess Bob will fix that in the coming weeks. As they seem to work on all his roms.

It is trying to turn wifi on, but I think that has everything to do with the fact the wrong drivers are still there. No clue how to fix this, but since I have an usb ethernet adapter it looks ok on that part.

For now I will install xbmc and just doe some testing but this looks very promising......hence all thanks to Bob ofcourse :-) I hope he does not forget our Mk908 V3's :-)

Just for anybody following this thread with a V5. Mine works. Got a V5 as a replacement for a non booting V3 and this method worked. Wifi Seemed to work OK for the small time I used it (i Use an Ethernet adapter)

The files are extracted from the update_mk908_100k4_v3 rom, i already verify that finless2.0 beta can use them to enable wifi connection. Speed is good enough.

So you run 4.4.2 with working wifi connection? How stable is wifi for you, same as finless 1.7b or better?

Just installed this on my V3 using the kernal&recovery from plightsup link. And Wifi is working OK, no dropouts, watch a whole 2 hour 720p AC3 film of 2.18gig with no stutters over Wifi.

Now this is strange, after the 1st reboot Wifi is dreadfull, slow speeds, speeds go down to 0kps. The box is in the SAME place wifi is the same channel/strength.

                    Hello,

I try this solution ... ap6210_kitkat_finless20_beta2 rom with this kernel and recovery you shared, I changed parameter to 4Gb ... it works !!!
But with XBMC my MK908 became very hot !!! and sometimes it power off.
I see that the bottom usb who was hot too, so I pull off usb hub (with ethernet/usb, and wireless keyboard receiver), and I put wifi and put the wireless keyboard receiver on the otg.
the usb is not hot, but the MK908 still coming very hot when XBMC is scanning new files ...

I'm happy because this solution works, after triying almost 20 roms !!! but what can I doo for the heat ?

                    Thank you !!!

I could not link to http://www.bee-link.com/en/article.php?id=99. It would bring up the Bee-link homepage

I navigated to MK908 Downloads and found MK908Firmware Download (http://www.bee-link.com/en/article.php?id=89)

From there I could downloaded Updated: 2014.02.17 (http://pan.baidu.com/s/1o6nsWAI)

Is this the same firmware you linked?
