    Apps gets deleted when reboot

hi guys, i have a tronsmart mk908II and installed Finless Rom 1.5a. I notice sometimes that when i shut down the stick and turn it on again, sometimes all my settings for the apps that i downloaded gets reset. and i also notice some apps gets deleted. any idea why this is happening on my end? for example on netflix, i will reverted back to when you first installed the app where you need to login and some other apps

Hope anyone can help me with this problem.

    thanks

I have similar issues on one of my tablets. I believe it is caused by bad NAND blocks in the data, cache or dalvik cache. Unfortunately, if it is due to bad blocks, as I suspect, there doesn't seem to be any way to fix it permanently. A permanent fix would require a low level NAND reformat to map the bad blocks so that they never get used again.

If it is bad blocks, depending on just exactly where they are located, it could be...

In my case, my /data (which contains my dalvik cache) and my internal SD card sometimes won't mount after using recovery. Wiping data and cache eventually fixes it temporarily for me (suggesting the bad blocks finally get written correctly). The next time I boot to recovery, it usually screws them up again.

I've had a little better luck with a custom CWM recovery that I'm still testing. I believe it has some internal features to either identify and skip or map bad blocks. It will take long term testing to determine if this is a viable permament fix though.

I can't be very specific here, because it would take me forever to find the thread and posts involved...but this very same thing happened with a ROM we were working on (Neomode, Snakekiller, Tattman65 and me), last year. It was an Archos 10bG3 ROM. It did the very same thing.

What it ended up being was that permissions weren't set to allow read/write on the internal NAND. Apps were being deleted on boot because the data was going away...and I do believe that Netflix was one of those apps.

You might check that before you blame hardware.

I'm cooking a ROM right now, but if I have time...I will try to find that thread.

Maybe Ray or Mike can remember what I'm talking about.

OK, I can't seem to find where we had that problem...maybe Finless or 900SuperSport can remember. I know we fixed it, somehow.

The apps that are gone after reboot, must be placed on the internal storage instead off the external storage.
So if you installed the app,go to settings/app and move the app to the device instead of the external sd

thanks guys, now my question is, when i install new app, does it go directly to external sd? do we have a installtosd script installed by default? coz i am pretty sure everything is installed on the device memory. i did not use move to sd function under applications but i will check again later thanks. can you also guys confirm if thats what causing my device to reboot? coz i am already using a galaxy tab 2A charger to power my device, i also ordered a different 3.4A wall charger, still waiting for it. hopefully that will fix the problem.

and is there an app to refix all permissions?

                    thanks

When a app has the option to install on the external sd then it will installed there automatically.
But the reboots of your device is not this fault,it must be another reason. Do a factory reset otherwise and look if it fix the reboots.but probably its the adaptor

thanks snake, one more thing, does netflix installed by default on external sd? ok i checked my netflix on my Note 2 and it is installed by default on device.

just wanna let you know that when apps gets deleted on reboot, when i check under /data/data there is still some folders relating to the deleted app. for Example TTorent pro, there is still a folder there and when i try to install it again, i get an error until i manually delete that folder using root explorer.

When the app is deleted after a reboot than is the name off the app also in the app folder of your settings. But with a removed or unknown icon instead off the original app icon. Just click on remove and normally than you can install the app without errors again
