    hdmi splitters ?

hi, I have a tv with only one hdmi connection. I'm using this single connection with my satellite receiver and want to also connect a tv stick. will a hdmi splitter work for this ? maybe an active powered splitter? I'm looking at one that has 4 hdmi in and two hdmi out (out to two tv's ) i want to share my satellite box between two tv's anyways and was thinking for the 4 hdmi inputs I could use one for sat, one for tv stick, one for blue ray and the 4th would be a spare. these three devices out to two tv's. the tv's are back to back on the same wall so cable lengths would not be too long. anyone know if this would work? will a tv stick work not direct connected to the tv hdmi? if my idea won't work is there any other options without having to buy a tv with 2 or more hdmi connectors

    thanks!

you could try the 4x2 matrix from monoprice, PID 8152. 4 inputs, 2 outputs.

A splitter should work fine. I used to have a 5 to 1 splitter, but that did not give me enough options. I then got an 8 to 1 so I now just have enough for my devices.

It is handy because I can then run the single hdmi line through a hdmi audio extractor before it gets to the tv, then send that signal to a bluetooth transmitter so I can listen on headphones from any device.
